About Edward F. Seeger

He Started at 15.
He Never Stopped.

Over 60 years in broadcasting — starting as a teenager at a small-town radio station in South Carolina and growing into one of America's most experienced radio station brokers and digital media platform operators.

Edward F. Seeger is a broadcaster, entrepreneur, publisher, and digital platform owner with more than six decades of hands-on experience in the American radio industry.

His career began at WDKD AM/FM in Kingstree, South Carolina in 1965 — while he was still in high school. Within just a few years, at age 21, he had acquired his first station outright, becoming the youngest radio station owner/operator in the United States. Under his ownership, WKSP 1090 was recognized as Station of the Year by the South Carolina Broadcasters Association, and Ed received the Richard G. Shafto Award as Broadcaster of the Year.

After profitably building and managing radio properties across the Southeast, Ed founded American Media Services LLC in 1997 — a broadcast development and brokerage firm. With partners Andrew Guest and James C. Fort, he brought a unique combination of engineering upgrade capability, programming expertise, and transactional brokerage to the market. Over 14 years, AMS completed more than 20 development scenarios and increased the aggregate value of 27 radio stations by over $300 million.

Ed reformed as Seeger Media LLC and has continued brokering and consulting ever since — now with an additional focus on digital broadcasting. He owns and operates TheRadio.com, a full-scale streaming platform with 300+ curated music channels, and has developed specialized digital platforms for faith broadcasters (His 24/7 Player) and college radio (Colligate Radio).

To date, Seeger Media has facilitated over $500 million in radio station and digital media transactions, working with buyers, sellers, and development clients in markets from New York and Denver to South Carolina, Texas, and points in between.
